119 Not Out !

Michael Hunt hit a career high 119 not out as Springvale's first XI got back to winning ways after a run 3 straight defeats. Tettenhall CC were the visitors to Millfields Road this week and after losing the toss were put into bat by Springvale's vice captain Dave Bennett. After a very slow start which had them just 16 from the first 12 overs. Complacent bowling and a determined batting effort from Tettenhall, got them right back into the game, setting Springvale 201 to win.

Springvale lost an early wicket when Tom Chew was caught in the second over bringing Michael Hunt to the middle to join Dave Bennett. Michael then masterminded a perfect runchase, with wickets falling regularly and with no real support, he kept his head on his way to an unbeaten 119 which saw his team home in the very last over with eight wickets down.
